The County created a Chaffee County Transportation Advisory Board ("Advisory Board") by Resolution 2008-37 to provide advise and assistance on matters associated with transportation planning and implementation of transportation services. The Advisory Board consists of no fewer than seven and no more than fifteen members. Members include a Chaffee County Commissioner, The Chaffee County Director of Administration, a representative from Chaffee County Planning Commission and three members representing the local municipalities, namely, The Town of Buena Vista Administrator, The Salida City Manager and the Poncha Springs Town Administrator. Additional members must be full-time residents of Chaffee County and are selected based on appropriate geographic representation of the County and representation of interests in transportation planning and services. Advisory Board members serve a three-year term from the date of the appointment. Terms expire on January 31st of each year, but members continue to serve until their successors have been appointed.
