Road Dept Equipment Operator I

DHS Foster Care/Family Engagement Coordinator

Chaffee County Department of Human Services is hiring a Foster Care/Family Engagement Coordinator.  This worker will be managing both roles in the Department simultaneously.  This worker will be heading foster care recruitment and retention efforts as well as certification and recertification of kinship and foster families.  Offering support and training to these foster and kinship families will be expected routinely.  This worker will be responsible for monthly visits with families and documentation of such contact.  Coordination with caseworkers in the Department will be necessary in order to best utilize placement options.  This worker will attend monthly team meetings in addition to coordinating referral screening meetings with the child welfare team.  This worker will conduct these screening meetings as well as Family Engagement Meetings within the timeframes and expectations given by the State.  This worker will also provide on-call emergency availability and response as needed.

DHS Family & Youth Initiatives Program Manager

Chaffee County Department of Human Services has an opening for a Family & Youth Initiatives program manager.  This position plans and directs a broad range of programs for youth and families that promotes protection, safety, education, health and self-sufficiency.  This position also directs staff in implementation and operation of these programs; supervises professional and supervisory staff to ensure efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the division's planning and problem solving.  Oversees staff scheduling and organizes the work to assure coverage and efficiency; makes sure that all grant requirements are met for each granter.  Ensures all paperwork that is required from the programing staff is completed for the grant manager so she can turn it in timely.  Performs and  assigns specific tasks to immediate subordinates, issues written and verbal instructions to staff on program issues; meets with workers individually or in groups to explain rules, policies, and laws; works with staff on case reviews and actions taken.  Counsels on effective resolution of problems, and creates work situations which allows for professional growth.  Ensures training is adequately performed; conducts performance evaluations.  Coordinates and supports annual fundraiser each year.  Minimum education is a Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field and combination of training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job as set forth by CDHS, Vol VII.  Click here for an application County Application; click here for a copy of the job description FYI Program Manager.  Completed application along with a cover letter and resume may be sent to Monica Haskell at monica.haskell@state.co.us or fax to 719-539-6430.  Direct all questions to Monica at 719-530-2511.  Position is open until filled.  EOE.

Emergency  Medical Services (CCEMS)/Part-Time Paramedics & EMT  Basics w/IV Certification
