Buildings & Grounds Seasonal Maintenance Worker
The Chaffee County BOCC is accepting applications for an hourly seasonal Building & Grounds Maintenance worker. This position will perform clean-up around the yard and parking areas, may include striping lines for parking, general cleaning of window frames, cleaning light fixtures, replacing light bulbs, etc. Must be self-motivated, work well with others, and able to work unsupervised and complete projects within a reasonable length of time. Involves working both indoors and outdoors. Estimated length of employment is from mid-May thru mid-October. Must be able to pass a drug screening. Noxious Weed Program Seasonal Worker
The Chaffee County BOCC is accepting applications for a seasonal Noxious Weed Program worker with the Weed Department. This position will perform a variety of field and office duties associated with noxious weed management in Chaffee, Lake and surrounding counties. Involves working with herbicides. Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent, 2 years' experience in similar job or college degree or one years' schooling towards a college degree in Environmental sciences/studies, weed management, forestry, resource conservation, wildlife biology, plant biology, or related field is preferred. Field experience related to noxious weed management, including mapping, operation of ATV's and off-road vehicles, and herbicide applications are preferred. Must have a valid CO Driver's license, preferred to have a Colorado Dept of Agriculture Pesticide Application License.
